When approaching Long Hai church, they discovered the python curled up on a large branch of a Taiwanese eagle tree about 6 meters high on the sidewalk. This is an area with many houses and shops.
To the ʜᴏʀʀᴏʀ of the people, the workers rushed to catch the snake. They used two forklifts pruning trees and up to 6 people were mobilized to catch the pythons. A brave worker standing at the crate being lifted by a forklift approached the animal from the top of a tree. He appeared calm, using a noose to ᴄʜᴏᴋᴇ the animal’s ɴᴇᴄᴋ after about 3 minutes.
The crate was raised further to pull the python off the branch, but it tightened even more. The other forklift approached from below, the male worker cut the branch with a knife, then put the python in the trunk and then put it in a pack.
“When I approached it, my colleagues and I were confused and also had a feeling of ꜰᴇᴀʀ, but fortunately the animal was lay still,” said Mr. Tran Thanh Lam, who took part in the capture said. He estimated the snake was more than 3 meters long and weighed 14 kg, but they did not know what type of python it was or where it came from.
In the afternoon of the same day, the workers took the python to Minh Dam mountain and released it into the wild. “When it was released back to the forest, its health was good and its crawling was quite flexible,” Lam said.
