King Cobra Crawled Into The Village To Ask For Help

  Reptiles are known to instill instant ꜰᴇᴀʀ in people and King cobras are known to be among the most ᴅᴀɴɢᴇʀᴏᴜs of them all. However, villagers in southern India recently didn’t have a choice after the cobra slithered into their village in broad daylight. The snake was found to be really ᴛʜɪʀsᴛʏ and had come looking for water.

The snake on the other hand was seen to be ꜰʀᴀɴᴛɪᴄᴀʟʟʏ looking for water to drink after it couldn’t find any outside. The 12 feet long cobra was rescued from a village in Kaiga township, where it has strayed, apparently looking for water. The village which has been ʜɪᴛ by a ᴅʀᴏᴜɢʜᴛ is facing sᴇᴠᴇʀᴇ water ᴄʀɪsɪs and does not have a lot of water left. Although, it seems to be that the animals are also affected by the water ᴄʀɪsɪs and the snake was one such instance. Kind villagers giving the snake water to drink. A man poured water over the snake’s head and slowly gave it a drink.The ‘ᴛʜɪʀsᴛʏ’ cobra can be seen gulping down water from the bottle. The man chose not to offer the snake milk to avoid ʙᴀᴄᴛᴇʀɪᴀʟ ɪɴꜰᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴs. In India, many Hindus offer milk to cobras, which they believe are the manifestation of the goddess Manasa Devi. This, they believe, will bring them good luck.

He also has a stick in hand to catch snakes, just in case. His friends held onto the cobra’s tail to ᴘʀᴇᴠᴇɴᴛ its surprise ᴀᴛᴛᴀᴄᴋs. After drinking the water, the snake was taken to a local wildlife rescue center. Some parts of southern India are suffering from sᴇᴠᴇʀᴇ ᴅʀᴏᴜɢʜᴛ. This makes the need for drinking water extremely urgent for the people as well as the wildlife living here. Therefore, the government here decided to increase the rescue force to help people as well as wild animals find drinking water. With this action, they hope to save many rare and precious animals that are facing a serious shortage of drinking  water.

In India, the king cobra is considered a symbol of strength and rebirth in Hindu mythology. Therefore, even though they are extremely  ᴠᴇɴᴏᴍᴏᴜs snakes that have  ᴋɪʟʟᴇᴅ many people, the people of this country still worship and consider them as a god.
