Funy Moment Of Cheeky Baby Elephant Tries To sᴛᴇᴀʟ Her Human Friend’s Phone From His Hand

The duo was filmed at the Barumun Nagari Wildlife Sanctuary in North Sumatra, Indonesia by Ercie Kandou, from Jakarta. This baby elephant is certainly a ɴᴏsʏ ᴘᴀʀᴋᴇʀ – getting her trunk in a twist as she tries to sᴛᴇᴀʟ a phone from her human friend.

The playful mammal, called Uli, was filmed nuzzling up to her friend, Wanda, as he tried to send a message on his phone. ‘In this video, she is curious to see what’s in Wanda’s hand and decides to taste it. She tries to grab the phone but when she realizes she can’t, she ʙɪᴛᴇs Wanda’s hand to ask Wanda to play with her.

Uli then wraps her trunk around the mobile device several times in a bid to see what all the fuss is about but after receiving a friendly nip on the hand, Wanda stands firm and gently coaxes her away. Uli was rescued along with her mother and several other elephants after being found ᴍᴀʟɴᴏᴜʀɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴀɴᴅ ɴᴇɢʟᴇᴄᴛᴇᴅ in a camp used for training the mammals

The 35-year-old, who is one of the founders of the sanctuary, said: ‘During the day, usually after eating or napping, she likes to come close to the man she knows to play with him.

Do elephants like people:  In fact, a scientific study showed that upon seeing a human, an elephant’s brain reacts the same way our brain reacts when we see puppies. They think we are cute.

Are elephants intelligent:Elephants are notorious for their memories. If a trainer they haven’t seen in years suddenly shows up, they immediately recognize them. As far as intellegiance is concerned, scientists plance the elephant on a par with chimpanzees or cetaceans, such as dolphins, killer whales, etc.
