Fernandes stated: “We decided to pull over and get out of the car. There are no signs instructing drivers to stop so she may cross. I’ve seen snakes run over on the highway before, and I believe it’s a ᴄʀɪᴍᴇ. Why did the humongous snake cross the road? Well, really … for any reason it wants. But, in this case, it crossed because a few folks in Brazil were kind enough to halt traffic and let the anaconda get across a divided highway. The snake was roughly 10 years old and was most likely crossing the busy road in search of food or refuge. “These snakes can appear in the urban area in search of food, which is small rodents, and in the city, they can feed on dogs and even cats, so it’s important not to leave trash in the yard because these animals can smell the rodents or these animals and come close to homes, especially during the rainy season.
