by A two-month-old puppy was sᴡᴀʟʟᴏᴡᴇᴅ whole by a python before being ʀᴇɢᴜʀɢɪᴛᴀᴛᴇᴅ.
The ᴅᴇᴀᴅʟʏ snake brought up its ᴘʀᴇʏ after being caught under wooden crates in Chachoengsao,Thailand. The 6.5ft (2 meters) serpent pounced on the small female dog as she scampered around the yard at her home. It sᴡᴀʟʟᴏᴡᴇᴅ the hapless puppy named “Love Love” then slithered off to digest its meal.
The dog’s owner, Pongsee Parapitak, said she made the chilling discovery when she went outside to give food to her two pet puppies but only one of them came running over. While searching for his remaining dog, he discovered a long snake with a bloated belly. He suspects that it ᴀᴛᴇ his dog.
Parapitak, 48, who also runs a small restaurant at her home, said: “I brought food out for the puppies but I could only find one of them. I found the snake lying on the ground and curled up. I knew straight away that my puppy had been ᴇᴀᴛᴇɴ.”
Parapitak immediately called the ʀᴇsᴄᴜᴇ team for help. A rescuer trying to drag the reptile from under a wooden crᴀᴛᴇ as it wrapped itself around the pole used to pull it into the open.
After the snake was dropped to the ground it began to regurgitate the unfortunate animal with a huge bulge gradually moving towards its mouth. Eventually the dog’s paws started to poke out from the reptile’s legs before the rest of the partially digested body then followed.
The snake spent five minutes regurgitating the puppy before it then slithered away into nearby woodland.
Parapitak expressed ɢʀɪᴇꜰ over the ʟᴏss of his puppy. “She was only two months old. I have had her and her brother, Love, since they were born. I’m very sad but I am glad that we have the body back from the snake so we can do a proper ꜰᴜɴᴇʀᴀʟ service.”
Arnon Sangkaew from the Chachoengsao Rescue Foundation said: “The snake was about three times bigger than the dog. It was not a large python. But it was brave to ᴇᴀᴛ such a big animal. It went away into the forest afterwards.”
