Taking a baby’s first bath is an emotional moment for parents. In most cases, parents are so ᴀꜰʀᴀɪᴅ of doing something that might ʜᴜʀᴛ their baby during the process, the bath time is usually reduced to a quick wash using the softest sponge they can find.
Well, in the animal world, things are less complicated. Animal parents rely more on their instinct than on anything else, as you can see in the video below. The clip was posted by the Elephant Nature Park in Chiang Mai, Thailand, which is a rescue and rehabilitation center dedicated and committed to saving and protecting elephants.
A few years back, the folks at the Elephant Nature Park in Chang Mai, Thailand, learned this firsthand. One of their babies got a new bathtub in, and he was pretty confused by it at first… Naturally, this led to the cutest bath experience ever.
Volunteers set up a brand new inflatable bathtub at the elephant sanctuary and initially, baby Navann wasn’t quite sure how to go about getting inside.
After a few minutes, Navann finally gets the hang of his new tub. He’s very excited it about, and so is his mom… although, there’s not exactly room for two.
As it’s probably very warm outside, it’s understandable that Navann’s mom was quick to try her best to get into the pool, too. You can almost sense Navann wants to say, “Mom! It’s my pool!”
Eventually, with Mom’s help, Navann gets down to bathtime-related business.
This is not the first time a baby elephant has been filmed splashing around in a bath. An elephant was filmed having a great time in the tub while at The Royal Elephant Kraal and Village in Ayutthaya, Thailand.
In the clip the young mammal bathes with much enthusiasm while a Danish tourist struggles to wash him down with a hose.
